An alert for Commuter Rail passengers.
All inbound Franklin, Providence and Stoughton Line trains will operate as scheduled through Hyde Park and Back Bay. Trains will experience delays due to police activity and will bypass Ruggles Station today.
Passengers are urged to connect the Orange Line at Back Bay for service to Ruggles.

Providence Train 1802 (6:20 am from Providence) will bypass Ruggles today due to police activity. Passengers can connect to the Orange Line at Back Bay for service to Ruggles.

Franklin Train 1703 (7:20 am from South Station) is operating 5-15 minutes behind schedule between Back Bay and Forge Park/495 due to train traffic caused by police activity.

Boston 25 News reached out to the MBTA to learn what is causing the police activity. Officials told us they are investigating the matter and say “the incident resulted in a very minor non-life-threatening injury.”
Providence Line Train 7800 (5:00 am from Wickford Junction) is terminated at Back Bay today due to police activity on the right of way. Passengers may consider taking the Orange Line for continued service.
