BOSTON — A man was arrested and a Boston Police officer was taken to the hospital after an early-morning crash Sunday involving a police cruiser. The Boston Police cruiser and a Lexus sedan at the scene had heavy frontend damage.
The Boston Police Department confirmed the driver of the Lexus Sedan, Louis Wallace, 33, of Cambridge, told police he had been traveling outbound on Columbus Avenue while the police vehicle was traveling inbound when the crash occurred. But he could not provide any reason for the collision.

Police told Boston 25 an officer was taken to the hospital to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
At the scene, Boston 25 News cameras captured officers conducting field sobriety tests. After multiple tests, Wallace was placed in handcuffs and loaded into a police cruiser.
