MassDOT: Overnight lane closures to begin through the Callahan Tunnel and I-93 southbound

BOSTON — Overnight lane closures will begin tonight through the Callahan Tunnel and I-93 southbound.

According to MassDOT, closures will happen Monday through Friday, between 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. in the Callahan Tunnel.

Lane closures will also be in place on I-93 southbound at exit 17B to Logan Airport to support tunnel lane closures.

The lane closures will let crews work safely to complete work on the tunnel including masonry cabinet, pump stations, and related electrical work for the tunnel and vent buildings project.

MassDOT encourages drivers to seek alternate routes, reduce speed, and use caution while approaching and traveling through lane closures and work zones.

These are weather dependent and subject to change without notice.

The closures are anticipated to continue through Thursday, June 22.
