Massachusetts restaurant ranked among top 100 places to eat in America in 2023

WALTHAM, Mass. — One of the best places to eat in America happens to be right here in Massachusetts, according to foodies.

“Yelpers are always looking for their next great meal. Will it be juicy birria at a local taqueria, 10-alarm hot chicken at a BBQ joint, or a hard-to-snag omakase reservation at a tiny sushi bar? Yelpers proclaimed Taqueria El Amigo at 196 Willow Street in Waltham as a must-try eatery for this year, ranking 84th on the list. In 2022, it was also named one of the best taco spots in America.

Yelp users described the restaurant as an “authentic” spot that offers “amazing” Mexican food,” “flavor-packed” salsa, and “delicious” tacos.

“Everything here tasted so fresh and so classic,” one Yelp review said. Another review said, “Best tacos I’ve had in MA so far.”

Yelpers rave about the supple corn tortillas and recommend ordering the Tacos Especiales, which comes with four tacos for $8.99.

The eatery has a 4.5-star rating on Yelp with reviews from nearly 800 happy customers.
