Massachusetts ranked as the most fitness-obsessed state, according to new research

Mass. — Whether you’re on a morning jog, going to a workout class, or skiing in the mountains, Massachusetts has so many activities to participate in to stay active.

According to new research, Massachusetts has been ranked as the most fitness-obsessed state.

The study, done by Pricelisto looked at multiple terms and phrases that were searched over the last 12 months that have to do with fitness.

Massachusetts was ranked first as the most fitness-obsessed state. The Bay State has 1,041 searches per 100,000 people, working out to 713,730 searches per month on average over the last 12 months.

The most searched-for fitness-related term from the state was ‘Planet Fitness, the popular gym chain.

Colorado came in second place with 920 searches per 100,000 people, and New York came in third place with 904 searches per 100,000 people.

The most searched term out of each state was ‘Planet Fitness.’ This shows that most people were interested in the USA’s largest gym chain,

Planet Fitness has a total of 14,257,400 searches per month on average over the 50 states.

The top 10 most fitness-obsessed states are:

  3. New York
  4. New Jersey
  5. Rhode Island
  6. Washington
  7. Florida
  8. North Carolina
  9. California
  10. Delaware
