WEBSTER, Mass. — An arrest has been made in connection with the death of a man whose body was found in a Webster shopping plaza.
Bernard Cusson Jr., 51, has been charged with murder in the death of 39-year-old Joseph Bottis.
Bottis was found dead near the Big Lots store at the East Main Street Plaza in Webster June 17. Police found him while responding to a call of a person possibly sleeping near the store’s gardening section around 2:45 a.m. that morning.
The Medical Examiner determined Bottis had skull fractures consistent with blunt force trauma.
Cusson was arrested June 17 on firearm and stolen property charges. He was ordered held without bail during a dangerousness hearing July 5.
Cusson is expected to be arraigned on the murder charge in Dudley District Court on July 19.
