Happening this weekend: Hanging Nasturtiums, Holi celebrations, Home Depot Kids Workshop

The weekend is here — and if you’re looking for something fun to do around the Boston area, we’ve got a few ideas to check out.

🌸 Hanging Nasturtiums at the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum

It wouldn’t be Easter weekend without the return of the Hanging Nasturtiums at the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum. This beloved annual tradition signals the return of spring, as bright orange and yellow vines cascade through the museum’s courtyard.

The stunning display is only around for a few weeks, so this weekend is a great time to see it. For museum hours and ticket prices, be sure to check the Gardner Museum’s website. Kids 17 and under always get free admission.

🎨 Holi Celebrations in Billerica and Boston

Looking for even more color? Head to the Om Hindu Community Center Holi Festival in Billerica this Saturday from 2 to 6 p.m. The celebration includes vibrant color tossing, music, food, and family‑friendly fun.

Admission is $15 for adults and $5 for children 12 and under, which includes Holi colors and food.

There’s also a free Holi Festival at Faneuil Hall happening Saturday, starting at 3 p.m., offering another festive option right in the heart of Boston.

🌱 Hands‑On Kids Workshop at Home Depot

Thinking ahead to spring planting? On Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon, Home Depot locations are hosting their popular Kids Workshop, where children can build their own barn‑style planters.

The workshops are free, but registration is required, so families are encouraged to sign up in advance through Home Depot’s website.
