Frog Pond is now open for the 2022 season at the Boston Common

BOSTON — A Boston summer landmark is back open for the 2022 season.

The Frog Pond spray pool at the Boston Common turned on the sprinklers Wednesday, and crowds of kids followed.

The Frog Pond spray pool is open daily from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. until Labor Day. The site has supervised wading is managed by The Skating Club of Boston and staffed by youth workers from the Boston Youth Fund.

There is also a carousel that starts running from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. seven days a week.

The Carousel is handicapped accessible and has height requirements: anyone 42″ or taller can ride alone; anyone under 42″ requires the presence of an adult.

Admission for the ride is $4 with 10-ride cards available for $30.
