FOXBORO, Mass. — Well, that was exciting, until it wasn’t.
The New England Patriots faced the Dallas Cowboys in Foxboro on Sunday in game that was decided in overtime, after a wild series of plays with just over two minutes left to play in the game.
First, Mac Jones threw a pick six, with the Patriots leading 21-20. The Pats found themselves down 27-21 after the Cowboys’ Trevon Diggs crossed the goal line.
Then, just as soon as the Patriots got the ball back, Mac Jones connected with Kendrick Bourne for a 75 yard touchdown, with Diggs in pursuit.
The Patriots were then up 29-26 and fans were feeling good again.

But the Cowboys worked against the clock to get into field goal range with 24 seconds left in the game and tied it at 29, with a field goal.

But it was the Cowboys who had the last play for the win.
