Case closed: Florida prosecutors drop charges against Kraft in prostitution sting

New England Patriots Owner, Robert Kraft, Charged in Florida Prostitution Ring

JUPITER, Fla. — Florida prosecutors will drop charges of soliciting prostitution against New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft, according to a court docket.

The court’s schedule for Thursday shows the prosecutor’s intention to file a document with the intention to drop charges.

In early 2019, Kraft was charged in connection to a prostitution sting at the Orchids of Asia day spa in Jupiter, Florida.

Police said they had tapes of clients entering the spa and paying for sex acts, but attorneys argues any surveillance was unlawful and could not be used in court. It was later ruled that surveillance video was inadmissible in court.

Without the surveillance evidence, prosecutors could not press charges on the clients for soliciting prostitution and filed their intent to close the case Thursday.
