Fire destroys Newbury home under construction

NEWBURY, Mass. — A Newbury home was destroyed after a fire tore through it on Thursday morning.

According to Newbury Fire, around 7 a.m., firefighters responded to Cricket Lane for reports of a structure fire.

Upon arrival, crews found a single-family home under construction engulfed in flames.

There were no injuries, and firefighters were able to extinguish the fire quickly.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
