FALL RIVER, Mass. — Antonio Furtado, from Fall River, won $1 million after purchasing a Massachusetts State Lottery ticket at a Friendly Donuts in New Bedford.
Furtado says he plans to buy a house with his prize.
He decided to take his winnings in cash, and received a one-time payment of $650,000, says the Massachusetts State Lottery Commission.
The Friendly Donuts will also receive a $10,000 bonus for selling the ticket.
