WAREHAM, Mass. — Five people were hospitalized with serious injuries after a single vehicle plunged 30 feet down an embankment onto a Wareham beach.
The crash occurred around 5:15 a.m. near the intersection of Onset Avenue and Hotel Road, in Wareham, the fire department confirmed.
Six people were in the vehicle at the time of the crash all sustaining injuries ranging from minor to serious.
Four people were transported to local area hospitals by ambulances and one person was transported by helicopter with serious injuries. Officials say the occupant’s ages are unknown at this time.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
