BOSTON — Boston firefighters were able to quickly extinguish the roaring flames that sprouted on the top levels of a building on Blue Hill Ave.
6 adults and 2 children were displaced and one person was transported by Boston EMS with minor injuries.
Flames enveloped half of the top floor of the building located directly behind a barbershop.

Fire crews used a “quick, aggressive attack” to extinguish the flames before they could spread to surrounding buildings.

Damages from the fire are estimated to be $1 million dollars.
The Red Cross is assisting the 8 people who were displaced.
The cause of the fire is not currently known.
