BOSTON — Bluebikes addressed “reported system outages” Friday afternoon, just hours away from the month-long Orange Line shutdown.
In a tweet, the company said the issues “should be resolved at this time.”
“Please bear with us as we accommodate demand during this unprecedented situation,” the tweet continued.
Bluebikes has been highlighted as an alternative for travelers during the 30-day shutdown of the Orange Line, which starts Friday night, as well as the 28-day partial shutdown of the Green Line, which begins Monday.
The city of Boston is offering free 30-day passes during the shutdown. The bike share passes will be available to anyone and provide an unlimited number of 45-minute trips at no cost.
Riders can find 400 stations and 4,000 bikes across 11 communities in Metro Boston.
The Orange Line closure starts Friday at 9 p.m.
