BOSTON — Weeks after the first-ever October race the Boston Athletic Association announced Tuesday the field size for the 126th Boston Marathon will be set at 30,000 participants.
It is scheduled to take place on Monday, April 18, 2022 and all participants will need to provide proof of vaccination prior to running.
The @BAA announced today that the field size for the 126th Boston Marathon scheduled for April 18, 2022 will be 30,000 entrants. All athletes must be fully vaccinated in order to participate in the race.

Registration for the 2022 Boston Marathon will take place over five days, opening on Monday, November 8 at 10:00 AM and closing on November 12th at 5:00 PM.
The B.A.A. will use the same registration process for qualified runners as it was used for the 2021 race.
