AG: Suspect, victim identified in deadly NH stabbing

Nashua homicide investigation

NASHUA, N.H. — A Nashua man has been charged with murder in connection with a deadly stabbing on Marshall Street Tuesday morning.

The New Hampshire Attorney General’s office identified the suspect as Joshua Shea, 31. He is accused of repeatedly stabbing 32-year-old Evangelos Ioannou, who was found by police in the third-floor hallway shortly after 1:20 a.m.

Ioannou was taken to an area hospital, where was pronounced dead.

Shea has been charged with second-degree murder. He is scheduled to be arraigned in Hillsborough County Superior Court on Wednesday.

The stabbing remains under investigation. Anyone who interacted with Shea on Monday or Tuesday is asked to contact the Nashua Police Department at 603-594-3500 or the Nashua Police Crime Line at 603-589-1665.

This murder comes as Formella’s office continues to investigate a fatal shooting of a 37-year-old man in Windham last week, as well as the April murder of a couple in Concord.
