BOSTON — A death investigation is underway after a woman’s body was recovered and seven other people were injured after a boat accident in the Boston Harbor early Saturday morning.
Coast Guard officials said a personal boat collided with rocks and a day marker around 3:06 a.m. near Castle Island.
Members of the Boston Police Harbor Unit responded in coordination with the U.S. Coast Guard, Massachusetts State Police, Massachusetts Environmental Police, Boston Fire Department, Massport Fire, and Boston EMS.

Seven people were rescued and are suffering from non-life-threatening injuries. There was also a recovery mission to find a missing adult female whose body was recovered and transferred to a medical examiner.
Out of the seven people rescued, Coast Guard officials said two people were taken to Massachusetts General Hospital. Two other people were taken to Tufts Medical Center, and the last two people were taken to Boston Medical Center. They were unsure where the seventh victim was taken.
