2 suspects arrested, Franklin Police issue shelter-in-place order

FRANKLIN, Mass. — There is a shelter-in-place order issued that is still in effect following the arrest of two suspects in the area of Washington Street from South Street to Grove Street in Franklin.

The Franklin Police Department told Boston 25 that the shelter-in-place order was issued Friday morning as Franklin Police and MetroLec Swat continue to investigate an armed robbery in Woonsocket, RI.

The identity of the two suspects has yet to be released by Franklin Police.

Officers added that Sheila Lane and Tobacco Road were closed, but both streets have since reopened.

Franklin Police also announced that there will be a joint press conference at 11:30 a.m. at Woonsocket Police Department in Rhode Island.
