2 arrested after woman allegedly robbed at knifepoint in Dorchester

BOSTON — Two people have been arrested following an armed robbery investigation in Dorchester.

Around 3:59 p.m. Thursday, Boston police responded to a report of an armed robbery in the area of 140 Humboldt Ave.

When officers arrived, they spoke with the victim, who said she had been robbed at knifepoint by two men riding a blue moped.

According to the victim, she was walking in the area when the passenger got off the moped and ran toward her. She said she fell to the ground as the suspect, armed with a knife, approached her. The suspect allegedly stole her chain and wallet before returning to the moped and fleeing on Humboldt Avenue toward Seaver Street.

An investigation led officers to the area of 777 Tremont St., where detectives spotted the blue moped at approximately 4:46 p.m. Both suspects were observed arriving at the location. Detectives then saw the driver enter a building while the passenger fled the area on the moped.

The driver, identified as 24-year-old Deivi Yoander Sanchez Aguasvivas, was taken into custody.

The second suspect, identified as 26-year-old Luis Miguel Ramirez-Aguasvivas, was later seen leaving the area and heading to Barry Street in Dorchester. At approximately 2:36 p.m. Friday, officers located the blue moped and took Ramirez-Aguasvivas into custody inside a residence on Barry Street.

Both men are expected to be arraigned in Roxbury District Court on charges of armed robbery and assault by means of a dangerous weapon.

Police said Ramirez-Aguasvivas was also found to have an outstanding warrant out of Suffolk Superior Court charging him with two counts of assault with intent to rob, two counts of assault and battery, five counts of unarmed robbery, assault with intent to rob, assault and battery on an elderly or disabled victim, and unarmed robbery.
