LEOMINSTER, Mass. — A 94-year-old veteran achieved his lifelong goal when he walked across the stage at Leominster High School's graduation.
Roland Martineau is a decorated Navy sea bee, who dropped out of school to support his family and then served in the Pacific theater during World War II.
Life never stopped for Martineau, which is why he was never able to go back to school and get the diploma he always dreamed of.

Until, however, a few months ago when he told his long-time barber of his dream of graduating.
Donna Salvi, Martineau's barber, and her boyfriend Bobby Penning, a Leominster firefighter, made it their mission to make it happen.
Salvi was at Martineau's graduation this weekend, cheering him on as he received his well-deserved high school diploma.
Congratulations, Roland!
