MassDOT is warning drivers at least two lanes will be closed on Route 213 eastbound in Methuen so workers can repair damage to a bridge that was hit by a truck hauling an excavator Wednesday morning.

Photos tweeted by MassDOT spokesperson Patrick Marvin show concrete scattered across the right travel lane of the roadway and exposed rebar on the bridge above from the impact.
State Police said the breakdown and right travel lanes will be closed for the next 24 hours at the Howe Street overpass as repairs are made.
