Holiday Jobs: Big box stores getting ready to gear up for the Holidays

BOSTON — Retailers are beginning their annual holiday hiring sprees.

Popular big box stores like Target, Walmart, Kohl's and Amazon will be hiring a number of seasonal workers to help staff the busy holiday shopping weekends.

A spokesperson for Kohl's tells Boston 25 News the company will hire more than 2,000 seasonal workers in the Boston area.

Target says it will be hiring seasonal workers for $12 an hour after September 16. The company also says workers can earn holiday pay for Christmas and Thanksgiving.

The following Kohl's locations will be hiring seasonal workers.

• Kohl's Nashua, 21 Gusabel Avenue, Nashua, N.H.
• Kohl's Keene, 480 West Street, Keene, N.H.
• Kohl's Northborough, 7102 Shops Way, Northborough, Mass.
• Kohl's Tilton​​​​​​​, 49 Lowes Drive, Tilton, N.H.
• Kohl's Plymouth, 68 Shops at 5 Way, Plymouth, Mass.
• Kohl's Bedford, 81 South River Road Route 3, Bedford, N.H.
• Kohl's Newington​​​​​​​, 45 Gosling Road Unit 7, Newington, N.H.
• Kohl's Seabrook, 325 Lafayette Road, Seabrook, N.H.
• Kohl's Salem, 92 Cluff Crossing Road, Salem, N.H.
• Kohl's Hingham, 100 Derby Street, Hingham, Mass.
• Kohl's Pembroke, 139 Church Street, Pembroke, Mass.

Amazon will also be hiring a number of jobs at its warehouses and at Whole Foods as shoppers.
