FALL RIVER, Mass. — A Massachusetts man wanted on charges of child rape was arrested in Florida Thursday after nearly six months on the run.
Police say John Munroe, 75, was originally arrested in September on numerous charges including rape of a child with force, assault and battery of a child under 14, enticing a child under age 16 and possession of child pornography.
Munroe allegedly cut his GPS monitoring bracelet off on Oct. 23, 201 and on Dec. 14 he was added to the Most Wanted list.
Police investigating learned that Munroe was staying in Deland, Fl. And arrested him Thursday morning.
