NORWOOD, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) -- One firefighter was injured after he fell off the roof battling a two-alarm blaze in Norwood Friday.
At around 3:15 p.m., police and fire officials were on scene of a two-alarm fire at an apartment complex located at 802 Norwest Drive. The fire was contained to one unit and firefighters knocked it down in about 20 minutes. No one was home at the time.
One firefighter who was on the roof working to contain the fire slid and fell off, a Norwood fire captain said. He was flown via medical helicopter to Brigham and Women's Hospital. There is no word on his condition.
Ten people were displaced as a result. The investigation into the cause of the fire remains ongoing.
