BOSTON — A man who went on a killing spree through Massachusetts and New Hampshire in 2001 has been sentenced to die after a federal court hearing.
Judge Leo Sorokin imposed the death sentence on Gary Lee Sampson after a jury reached a decision on the death sentence for one of two murders he committed.

In 2001, Sampson murdered three people in Massachusetts and New Hampshire.
Family members and the U.S. Attorney's Office spoke after the hearing.
