Daughter finds pregnant mother tied up after Quincy home invasion

QUINCY, Mass. — Quincy Police are searching for a suspect accused of breaking into a home on Tuesday and tying up a pregnant woman inside.

The men broke into the home on Presidents Lane through the back basement door, according to police. The two suspects fled after the invasion, but officers were able to catch one of the suspects. The second suspect is still on the run.

A K9 officer found a gun in the yard of the home. Police believe it was used in the home invasion.

SkyFOX was over the scene right after police arrived. The daughter was able to call police after running to an upstairs bedroom. The first officers on the scene spotted one of the suspects running away and arrested Kevin Murphy. Murphy faces armed home invasion charges and is due in court Wednesday.

The woman's husband spoke to FOX25, saying, "She's very scared and crying, she was crying a lot. I tried to calm her down," he said. He said he had no idea why his family would be targeted.

The mother and daughter are expected to be okay, but are rattled. Both were checked out at the hospital.
Police continue to search for the second suspect.
