Coffee with Candidates: Bill Weld

BOSTON — Our Coffee with Candidates series continues with a conversation with former Massachusetts Governor Bill Weld. Boston 25 News anchor Kerry Kavanaugh recently sat down Governor Weld at Tatte Bakery in downtown Boston.

Weld ran for vice president four years ago on a Libertarian ticket, but now he's running for president and doing so as a Republican.

They chatted over coffee about whether Weld was getting any push back running as a Republican against President Trump, who’s very popular within in his party. They talked about why climate change is one of his key issues and what he does when he's not involved in politics.

Plus Governor Weld shares his interesting family tie to the Declaration of Independence.
