Boston Public Works employee shot in leg on his way to work

BOSTON — Boston Police says a Boston Public Works employee was shot on their way to work Thursday morning.

Police tell Boston 25 News a man was shot in the leg and was brought to Brigham & Women's Hospital. He is expected to be okay.

The incident happened on Maryknoll St. in Mattapan.

Police said the employee drove himself a short bit away - then called police.

The shooting left bullet holes in a DPW vehicle.

Police are investigating the incident, but so far, no arrests have been made.
