Boston Marathon bombing survivors acted as grand marshals in Lowell parade

LOWELL, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) -- The city of Lowell held its City of Lights parade Saturday, led by four Boston Marathon bombing survivors.

The parade and city hall holiday lighting ceremony took place Saturday evening to kick off the holiday season. Four Boston Marathon bombing survivors acted as grand marshals in the parade, and road in a convertible while waiving to attendants.

Jeff Bauman of Chelmsford, Celeste and Sydney Corcoran of Lowell, and Roseann Sdoia of Dracut were happy to attend the parade, and grateful for all the support they received from those watching.

"Just to have everyone here and just like yelling and waiving and they're smiling and it makes us smile ‘cause we feel the support and the happiness radiating off of them and it rubs off on us," Sydney Corcoran said.
