AG: Man arrested after bodies of wife and father were found in Dover, NH

DOVER, N.H. — A man was arrested after the bodies of his wife and father were found in Dover, New Hampshire, according to Attorney General Gordon MacDonald.

MacDonald and Dover Police Chief William Breault announced 44-year-old Jeramie Colella was arrested and charged with knowing second-degree murder after the incident.

The arrest comes after the discovery of 43-year-old Joanna Colella and 69-year-old Francis Colella's bodies on Tideview Drive in Dover on Monday morning.

The cause of the deaths has not been determined yet.

"It's unsettling a little, it's sad," Kristin Valdez, a neighbor, said. "Not quite sure what exactly happened."

The deaths had been described as suspicious by the N.H. Attorney General's Office, with police investigating throughout the day on Monday.

Sandra Melo, a neighbor, said that the couple kept to themselves when they were in the area.

"Stuns a neighborhood like this," Melo said. "Hard to believe. I see that couple, I just say hi to them. They were kind of private."

Police told one resident that there wasn't any need for concern, but did tell the resident that the situation "is very bad."

Colella will be arraigned on Tuesday on the two charges in Strafford County Superior Court. The incident is still under investigation, and Assistant New Hampshire Attorney General John Kennedy said authorities are still looking for more information after the deaths.

"We would ask anybody, especially in that Tideview Estates area, if they saw or heard anything from anybody in that number 18, if they would contact Dover Police," Kennedy said. "We are still trying to put together a timeline."
