Authorities are investigating after a 50-year-old man was killed in an apparent stabbing in Taunton.
Police responded to the area of White Street for a report of an ongoing altercation around 3:45 p.m. Wednesday afternoon.
When first responders arrived on scene, they found a 50-year-old Taunton man, later identified as Robert Hickey, bleeding from an apparent stab wound.
He was rushed to Morton Hospital, and was later pronounced dead at 4:20 p.m.
Bristol County District Attorney Thomas M. Quinn III tweeted late Wednesday night that two people were arrested in connection to the homicide.
Two individuals have been placed under arrest and are being charged with crimes connected to this afternoon’s homicide in Taunton.

Richard Mulcahy, 37, is being charged with murder & armed robbery. Danielle Delory, 35, is charged at this time with armed robbery.
Quinn said 37-year-old Richard Mulcahy was charged with murder and armed robbery, while 35-year-old Danielle Delory was charged with armed robbery.

There was no word on what led to the incident resulting in Hickey's death.
