12 arrested in multi-county drug bust

LAWRENCE, Mass. — Officials busted 12 people in connection with a major heroin and fentanyl tracking operation.

Authorities had been investigating the operation that they say brought large quantities of lethal drugs into Lawrence, Lowell, Haverhill and Peabody. During the investigation, approximately 900 grams of heroin and fentanyl was seized in Haverhill and Lawrence.

On Friday, officials executed search warrants and several locations across Haverhill and Lawrence, where they seized 600 grams of heroin and fentanyl and $21,000 cash.

The following individuals were arrested:

1.    Kenni Luna-Percel, AKA Helton Jose Perez, of Lowell

•    One count – trafficking over 200 grams of heroin
•    Two counts – trafficking over 100 grams of heroin
•    One count – conspiracy

2.    Santo Angel-Perez, AKA Joused Garcia-Canales, of Peabody

•    One count – trafficking over 200 grams of heroin
•    One count – conspiracy

3.    Jose Figueroa of Lawrence

•    One count – trafficking over 200 grams of heroin
•    One count – conspiracy

4.    Miguel Eligio Cruz Prandy, AKA Miguel Cruz Prade, of Lawrence

•    One count – trafficking over 200 grams of heroin
•    Two counts – trafficking over 100 grams of heroin
•    One count – conspiracy

5.    Kristina Ramos, AKA Ivonne Bolorin, of Lowell

•    One count – trafficking over 200 grams of heroin
•    One count – conspiracy

6.    Aneudy Tejeda-Soto of Lawrence

•    One count – trafficking over 200 grams of heroin
•    One count – conspiracy

7.    Jesus Tejeda-Tejeda of Lawrence

•    One count – trafficking over 200 grams of heroin
•    One count – conspiracy

8.    Alfredin Mejia-Soto of Lawrence

•    One count – trafficking over 200 grams of heroin
•    One count – conspiracy

9.    Yunida Peguero-Beras of Lawrence

•    One count – knowingly being present where heroin is kept

10.    Cheryl Margosian of Haverhill

•    Three counts – trafficking fentanyl

11.    Richard Fuoco of Haverhill

•    One count – trafficking fentanyl

12.    Christian Jose Brown of Lawrence

•    One count – conspiracy

These individuals will be arraigned Monday morning in Lawrence District Court.

“These arrests are the result of an extensive joint investigation into heroin and fentanyl targeting those who bring these lethal drugs into our communities,” said AG Healey. “We thank our state, federal and local law enforcement partners for working with us to go after these traffickers and dismantle their criminal networks.”

Involved in the investigation were: Attorney General Maura Healey’s Enterprise, Major and Cyber Crime Division, Massachusetts State Police, the State Police Drug Transportation Drug Unit, the DEA, Homeland Security Investigations, Lowell police, Lawrence police, Haverhill police and Peabody police.
