SALT LAKE CITY — "You're killing me, Smalls" became a mantra after the 1993 release of "The Sandlot," and the actor who muttered that famous line returned to the field over the weekend.
This time an all-grown-up Patrick Renna brought his rookie to the field -- his son, KUTV reported.
Renna portrayed Hamilton "Ham" Porter in the film about growing up while playing ball with best friends.
He said he had a layover in Salt Lake City and had enough time to take his son to the field made famous on the big screen, according to KUTV.
Had a little layover in #SLC so brought him to the original sandlot. Little overgrown. I swear he just pointed! pic.twitter.com/3a9hUwraY0

Last year, the cast reunited to celebrate the 25th anniversary of "The Sandlot" but the reunion didn't take place on the field in Salt Lake City. Instead, they got together at L.A. City College and even played a pickup game of baseball, E Online reported in 2018.
