'Baby It's Cold Outside' gets 2019 remake thanks to John Legend, Kelly Clarkson

The hit, and creepy, Christmas song "Baby It's Cold Outside" is getting an update.

John Legend says he is working on a new album scheduled to be released next month called A Legendary Christmas Deluxe, USA Today and Vanity Fair reported.

Included in the tracks is a remake that Legend rewrote with Natasha Rothwell of the 1944 song originally done by Frank Loesser.

Some radio stations said last year that "Baby It's Cold Outside" was no longer part of their playlists.

Some of the lyrics of the original songs include the woman singer asking, "What's in this drink?"

The controversy grew in light of the #MeToo movement.

The back and forth in the song, which Legend sings with Kelly Clarkson, will now go as such, according to the Vanity Fair interview:

Clarkson: "What will my friends think..."

Legend: "I think they should rejoice."

Clarkson: "...If I have one more drink?"

Legend: "It's your body, and your choice."

The entire album will be released next month, but you can preorder the CD or vinyl, both of which come with digital albums, here.
