Rob Gronkowski, Sony Michel inactive for Patriots against Packers

The Patriots announced tight end Rob Gronkowski and running back Sony Michel would both be inactive for the team's primetime battle with the Green Bay Packers Sunday night.

Gronkowski and Michel joined Shaq Mason, Jacob Hollister, Nichols Grigsby, Brian Schwerke and Cole Croston on the inactive list for the game.

Gronkowski will miss his second of the last three games with a back injury, while Michel continues to battle a knee injury suffered during the Patriots' game in Chicago against the Bears.

Wide receiver Cordarrelle Patterson could get more reps at running back in Michel's absence, after getting some time in the backfield for the Patriots last week against the Bills.
