Search continues for vehicle involved in violent West Roxbury road rage incident

BOSTON — Massachusetts State Police continue to search for the vehicle involved in a violent road rage incident on Saturday that sent a driver to Brigham and Women’s hospital.

According to state police, one motorist stabbed a second motorist in the chest on West Roxbury Parkway at Centre Street, before driving off.

“If you look at the last year or two, there doesn’t seem to be any civility in society. People immediately go to violence when they have an argument with someone,” neighbor Jack Flanagan said. “Could have been more tragic if the person had a gun.”

State police said they were looking for a black Cadillac sedan with the word “Cadillac” in large letters, both on the front and back of the vehicle.

Boston 25 News spoke briefly with the victim at his home on Monday, where he declined an interview. His sister said he was doing better since leaving the hospital.

According to Flanagan, the parkway occasionally has a speeding problem with impatient people flying down the road.

He said he hadn’t seen any type of real road rage problem before this incident occurred.

“For whatever reason, the roads are not monitored,” he said. “There’s been multiple accidents because of excessive speed, usually at nighttime.”

Anyone with information about the incident or vehicle involved is asked to call Massachusetts State Police.
