Police seek help finding man wanted in connection with Dorchester bank robbery

BOSTON — Police are seeking the public's help locating a man wanted for allegedly robbing a bank in Dorchester Wednesday.

Boston Police said they responded to a panic alarm at the East Boston Savings Bank on Talbot Avenue at 10:51 a.m. Wednesday, according to a BPD news release.

A teller told police that a man approached her teller window, passed her a note demanding money, and then fled with an undisclosed amount of money and the note, according to the release. The robber then fled on foot down Talbot Avenue, toward Southern Avenue, and police did not find the suspect during a search of the area.

Police are asking anyone with information to contact Mattapan district detectives at 617-343-4712.

BPD's request for the public's help comes within an hour of reports about the arrest of a man wanted in connection with robbing a Somerville bank on May 1.
