Mass. teacher sentenced to 45 years in fed child porn case

BOSTON (AP) - Prosecutors say a former Boston-area elementary school teacherhas been sentenced to 45 years in prison by a Louisiana federal judge fortaking part in an international child pornography ring.

Thirty-five-year-old David Ettlinger of Newton was sentenced Tuesday by U.S.District Judge Maurice Hicks in Shreveport. Prosecutors said Ettlinger pleadedguilty in August to one count of engaging in a child exploitation enterprise.Federal prosecutors said Ettlinger was one of 72 people charged with tradinggraphic images on a private online bulletin board known as Dreamboard, showingyoung children being molested by adults.

Ettlinger also faces child sexual assault charges in Massachusetts. Hepleaded not guilty last year to state charges that he indecently assaulted andtaped three Boston-area girls. Authorities said none were his students at theNewton school where he taught for 12 years.
