WATCH: Driver slams into tree with juvenile in car after speeding through Oxford intersection

OXFORD, Mass. — A Charlton man is facing charges after speeding through a busy intersection Wednesday morning and crashing into a tree while a juvenile was in the car with him.

59-year-old Wayne Pelletier is charged with operating to endanger, speeding, operating with a suspended license and marked lane violations.

Oxford Police say they responded to a motor vehicle crash in the Oxford Center near town hall around 9:41 a.m.

Surveillance video shows a car, driven by Pelletier, screaming through a busy intersection and crashing into a tree. Good Samaritans can be seen rushing over to the vehicle to assist.

Neither Pelletier or the juvenile passenger were seriously injured, according to police.

In addition to the motor vehicle charges, Pelletier also had an active arrest warrant and was subsequently arrested and transported to Dudley District Court.
