BOSTON — PJ the pit bull puppy has found his forever home after being adopted this week by a Rhode Island family.
The pup was initially brought to the Angell Animal Medical Center emaciated and with a deadly virus after being abandoned in a crate in Hyde Park.
Although that case is still unsolved, PJ is virus-free and much healthier, according to MSPCA-Angell. Officials say he was neutered earlier this week and is excited to be joining his new home with Richard, Nicole, and their kids. He will even have another dog to keep him company.
The MSPCA says PJ’s case underscores the importance of seeking help when you feel you are no longer able to care for your pet. For more information, click here.
Anyone with information about PJ’s original owner is asked to call MSPCA’s Law Enforcement at 800-628-5808.
