Driver flown to Boston hospital for injuries after rollover crash in Scituate

SCITUATE, Mass. — Scituate Police are investigating the cause of a rollover crash that injured one person on Sunday afternoon.

Police said officers and firefighters responded to the crash in the area of 101 Border St. at about 3:40 p.m. Sunday after 911 callers reported that a vehicle was overturned in the woods.

The driver of the vehicle, a male, was removed by rescue crews and transported by firefighters to a landing zone at the Public Safety Building, where he was then put onto a MedFlight helicopter and flown to a Boston hospital.

No other occupants were in the car.

The condition of the driver, who is not being identified at this time, is not clear at this time.

Scituate police said the cause of the crash is under investigation.
