Fairhaven first responders rescue poodle found stuck under drivers seat of car

FAIRHAVEN, Mass. — A dog was stuck under the seat of his owner’s vehicle early Tuesday morning.

Casper, a 10-year-old poodle, had maneuvered himself under the driver’s seat and got stuck within the the seat motion mechanism.

Lt. Josh Benoit of the Fairhaven Fire Department, Dr. Nicholas Dagenais of New England Animal Hospital, Fairhaven police officer Laurie Cannon, Sgt. Matthew Botelho, Captain Michael Botelho, and Fairhaven animal control officer Evan DeSousa, all responded to the scene. With some quick thinking, they were able to untangle Casper.

Casper was returned to his owner with only minor injuries.
