HYANNIS, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) -- A woman was hit by a truck and killed Monday night near the Cape Cod Mall.
Just before 9 p.m. Monday night, the victim, 50-year-old Zhou Caron, a Hyannis resident, was crossing Route 132 near the Christmas Tree Shop when a pickup truck hit her. Police said she was carrying packages at the time of the crash, and her husband said she may have been finishing up Christmas shopping.
The driver of the 1995 Chevrolet pickup truck stopped and cooperated with police, Barnstable police said.
Accident reconstruction teams were on the scene, and are investigating the crash with Barnstable police.
