FOXBOROUGH, Mass. — Julian Edelman is expected to launch his appeal this week of a four-game suspension for next season.
The NFL suspended the Patriots' wide receiver several weeks ago after they discovered an unknown substance in his body during a drug test.
Whatever the substance was, it was not on the NFL's list of banned performance enhancing drugs.
ESPN is reporting that Edelman also plans to questions the NFL's handling of his case.
Edelman says the league didn't maintain proper chain of custody with his sample so therefore it can't be used against him.
