Coast Guard: 2 boaters fished from water after head-on collision

CHATHAM, Mass. — Two people were thrown from boats as they collided in Chatham Monday afternoon, according to the coast guard.

USCG boats did not respond to the accident, but were told two people had to be pulled from the water by good Samaritans.

It was unclear if either of the boaters were seriously injured after the head-on collision, but the coast guard said no other injuries were reported.

Massachusetts Environmental Police are investigating the incident.
