Arrest made in Worcester woman's death

WORCESTER, Mass. — Worcester Police have made an arrest in connection with a suspicious death.

Police arrested Joseph Dalrymple, 33, of Shrewsbury, on Tuesday in connection with the death of Marlene Bleau, 38, of Worcester.

Bleau was found Saturday morning face down in the water near Coburn Avenue and Bridle Path. She was pronounced dead less than 20 minutes later.

The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner has yet to rule the exact cause of Bleau’s death.

Dalrymple is charged with Strangulation or Suffocation and will be arraigned in Worcester District Court.

The investigation is ongoing.
