18 injured after crash between MBTA bus, car in Randolph

RANDOLPH, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) -- Officials said 18 people were hurt in a crash between an MBTA bus and a car Tuesday.

The crash happened late Tuesday morning near 1183 North Main. MBTA officials allege a car tried to turn in front of a Route 240 bus and they collided. SKYFOX was over the scene just after 11 a.m. A sedan with front end damage could be seen up on the curb. The bus also sustained front end damage.

The driver of the sedan reportedly felt dizzy just before the crash. Police on scene told FOX 25 that they arrested the driver of the car and say that he will face charges of driving while impaired.

MBTA officials said a number of people reported neck and back discomfort after the crash. All those who were transported sustained non-life threatening injuries.

The crash remains under investigation.
