18-year-old killed, 2 others injured in Quincy rollover crash

QUINCY, Mass. — An investigation is underway in Quincy after an 18-year-old was killed and two others were injured in a violent rollover crash overnight.

Police said a truck sped down Palmer Street and clipped a utility pole, crashed into a fence, snapped the lower half of a second utility pole and then hit two parked cars next to a home.

Phong Nguyen said he saw the cash happen and knew it was serious. After calling 911, he ran over to the truck and saw one person, a 17-year-old male, barely moving inside.

"I take his hand tried to pull him out because I was worried the car going to go on fire. I pulled him out slowly," said Nguyen.

The 17-year-old was rushed to the hospital with life-threatening injuries, where he remained Monday evening.

There were two other people in the truck; 18-year-old Allan Dunne died on scene and 22-year-old Chris Murch left the scene but was found at his home. Police are trying to figure out why he left and if he was the driver.

Police said the truck is registered to K & R Auto Body in Hough's Neck.

Speed was a factor in the crash, and at least one neighbor said speed is a regular issue in the neighborhood. Police are also waiting for toxicology test results.
