WORCESTER, Mass. — The City of Worcester has announced that both Stearns Tavern and Coes Pond Parks will be closed for the foreseeable future as the manhunt for the missing Worcester woman whose husband, Worcester Police Officer Kurt Solomon, was found dead at the couple’s home.
The city says this comes as Worcester police continue investigating for leads in the search for Karen Solomon.
“As a result, Coes Pond Beach, also known as Binienda Beach; Columbus Park, including the Columbus Park Boardwalk; Knights of Columbus Park; Coes Park Playground (Coes Knife); and Stearns Tavern are closed until further notice,” the city wrote on its Facebook page.
Solomon is wanted in connection with the death of her husband.
Surveillance footage released a few days ago shows Solomon’s last known location, walking near the Westside Animal Clinic in the area of Coes Pond early Tuesday morning.
The City of Worcester added that residents should avoid the area and “Coes Pond Beach Family Day has been relocated to Logan Field.”
